Healthy Food Incubators

BNMO is collaborating with New Venture Advisors (NVA), a non-profit organization that works with community groups, government, investors, and entrepreneurs to create a more connected and equitable food system. The organization links these entities with local food producers to distribute food and to promote cooking skills and healthy eating habits. BNMO is providing planning, programming, and design services to help create the facilities the organization needs to realize their mission across the United States.

We have worked with both NVA and other partners including local government planning agencies and kitchen consultants to plan facilities that accommodate processing, packing, storage, and teaching kitchens. Projects have included:

Seattle – planning for a facility around an existing elevated railway

Kansas City – a new construction food incubator for storage, processing, and packing, recently completed

Hilo, Hawaii – A facility seeking a Build Back Better grant. BNMO provided drawings for the application.
